We believe that every young person should have access to summer camp. We invite you to be part of establishing the future longevity of CCO.

Ways to Give Back

Consider one of the following ways to give back to camp through donations and in-kind gifts. If you are interested in giving, please contact the CCO office.

With your help, we can provide all that makes the camp experience truly magical for our campers. Right now, we are seeking the following items:

  • Backcountry gear: boots, 2, 3, 4, or 5-person tents, frame backpacks, mummy sleeping bags, stoves, utensils, etc.
  • Day pack/school backpacks

  • Rain Jackets, ponchos
  • Musical Instruments (mainly guitars, hand percussion, ukuleles)
  • Fishing gear (fly and regular rods, reels, hooks, flies, etc.)
  • Horse gear: Western saddles, saddle blankets, lead ropes, riding boots
  • Sit-on-Top Kayaks, Paddles, Life Jackets
  • Paddle Boards, Paddles, Life Jackets
  • Arts & crafts supplies, storage bins
  • Digital cameras, digital video cameras
  • Costumes and props of any type
  • ATV (gator, golf cart, four-wheeler)
  • Trailer to be used for camp gear/clothing storage
  • Flowers and chocolate for the Registrar

Building a bright future for tomorrow depends upon caring for our children today. Camp Chief Ouray is dedicated to providing life-enriching experiences to all children and families–even those that cannot afford the magic of camp. Every year, our offices are flooded with requests for financial assistance, and our goal is to turn no one away. We need your support to reach this goal!
