The Youth Leadership Board is comprised of 10-12 campers, ages 14-17

They meet throughout the year in-person in the Denver area and at CCO to make decisions about camp programs, events, recruiting and scholarship fundraising.

Advise camp staff on how to improve programming

Build your resume for college

Receive letter of recommendation from Leadership and Trips Director upon completion of term

Board Requirements and Expectations

  • Register and attend at least one CCO overnight program in the summer of 2025  
  • Volunteer a minimum of 25 hours in your local community throughout the year and submit documentation by December 31st  
  • Raise $250 for the CCO Campfire Circle Scholarship Fund and submit donations by December 15th
    (YLB will help send three campers to one week of traditional camp)  
  • Attend a minimum of three (3) in-person meetups or events throughout the year
  • Attend a minimum of two (2) virtual meetings throughout the year  
  • Members are required to reapply after completing two years of service
