Food is a large part of the experience at CCO and we want to make sure all campers are well fed. The kitchen at CCO is one of the busiest during the summer months, serving over 350 campers per meal our Head Cook and his staff are up to the challenge. Below are the menus we will serve this summer. We work on a three week rotation of menus, and we always have vegetarian and gluten free options available. If you would like to talk to the Head Cook, click here to e-mail with Chad.
Please be sure to fill out your dietary needs in your CampInTouch account. We print this off and hand it to Chad a week prior to the arrival of those campers so he can best prepare his staff for the week approaching. We take all allergies seriously, for campers and staff members, and this is the best way to get the information to Chad our Head Cook.
We do not cook with any nut oils, we have separate utensils/cookware/areas to handle gluten free diets and do everything we can to educate the campers when they have questions. Encourage your camper to speak up if they do have a question.
We sit in the dining hall according to our cabin groups. Our service is Family Style meaning we bring out food for the table and all campers/staff share what is being served. Each cabin will be assigned to help set tables and clean the dining hall during their time at camp as well.
Be sure to work with your child on trying new foods. We also appreciate when campers speak up about their food needs. No camper should leave the dining hall hungry!
Mission: YMCA of the Rockies puts Christian principles into practice through programs, staff and facilities in an environment that builds a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Our goal is to offer challenging experiences to build leaders through life-long skill development in a safe, imaginative, natural setting. We instill confidence through independence and interpersonal skills. We challenge our campers to discover their true selves.
